You know that feeling when your gooseneck trailer bounces and your truck feels every bit of it. That vertical shock hits hard. This 5th-wheel conversion kit uses an air bag at the hitch to absorb the impact and give you the smoother ride you want.
With some couplers, you're never quite sure if they're secure. This Demco eZ-Latch coupler fixes that. Just drop it onto the ball and it latches itself. There are no extra steps involved, and you won't have to hang over the side of your truck straining to get a pin in. Once it's connected, you know it's going to stay put. And if you're leaving your trailer hooked up somewhere, the InfiniteRule lock (IR66FR - sold separately) keeps the latch from being opened so no one can pull up and take it.
Fifth-wheel hitches eat up bed space and add weight you don't need. This kit swaps that bulk for a lighter, more practical setup that bolts in where your old pin box was. The RVGC-4405 base fits Lippert Turning Point bolt patterns, so there's no need to modify the trailer frame. Once it's mounted, you're ready to drop in the air coupler and enjoy a quieter, more stable ride.
Towing capacity is limited by the lowest rated component in your setup.
If you have a recessed gooseneck ball, there must be at least a 12" x 12" opening in your bed for this coupler to work. In addition, the top of the hitch ball cannot be more than 2" from the top of the bed.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking together at our Shocker fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter. This is a Demco Lock coupler, and it's gonna replace that Lippert Turning Point 24K rated fifth wheel. So folks, get your truck bed back by converting to a gooseneck towing. It's gonna give you more truck bed. It's gonna remove the bulky fifth wheel slider out of your truck bed.
And it gives you that nice gooseneck style towing. So as you probably know, when you tow with a gooseneck versus a fifth wheel, the tongue weight is lower on the truck bed. It's gonna give you more control and less chucking like a trailer in a fifth wheel hitch would give you. Up to 24,000 pounds capacity and 6,000 pounds tongue weight. You do have this nice auto-latch gooseneck attachment, so if you've never used Demco's auto-latch, it's very simple.
You don't even have to lift this up. You just simply lower this on the ball. It's gonna automatically kind of do this thing, all by itself, very, very simple. Then when it's time to unlatch, then you lift it up, uncouple, raise this, and you're good to go. Very simple to use.
Very nice, very sleek. You do have three holes here for different height settings. You got a set screw here on the front. Always make sure to remember to tighten that down per the manufacturer's instructions. Now again, this fits the two and 5/16 inch gooseneck hitch balls.
You also have, again, those three height adjustments, so you're gonna be able to set that pin wherever you need to. Again, folks, this is gonna be for the Lippert Turning Point 24K fifth wheel pin box. This is gonna bolt right up in place. You're gonna use your existing bolts that you removed from that fifth wheel to then mount this Shocker hitch up in place. Folks, with this and any other products that we carry here at etrailer.com, if you have questions, concerns, or you're just not sure if this is the right fit for you and your camper, call us, email us, chat us. We'll be more than happy to help you and assist you with what you need. That's gonna wrap it up for our look together. I'm Steven, as always please, stay safe while you're towing, and have a great day.
Everything went as planned with order very happy
It went together fairly quickly and adjusted nicely I think I will be happy with it
Great hitch,But, does not fit in the camper side at the highest setting without cutting out the bottom mount holes for safety chains to be inserted. You would think that the chain pocket would have been move forward 2.5 inches to allow for no modification to the trailer side. There for not very impressed for the mounting. Other than that, great hitch..
Easy installation, although it (and the kingpin I replaced) are quite heavy so a helper is a pretty good idea. Really easy to hitch up and even easier to unhook! So far so good!
